Prof. Ma Jianfu

Prof. Ma is Professor of Anthropology at the Northern University of Nationalities in Yinchuan, China. He has researched and published extensively on Muslims and Islam in China. His research focuses on urban living, social alienation and marginalization and food security in China. He has held visiting appointments in Thailand and England and has also served as consultant to international NGOs on eradicating poverty in northern China. Prof. Ma’s work on social justice, food justice, food safety and food security are essential to creating a more enlightened world society.
