What We Do

We are a research and teaching institute that uses research data to provide a novel approach to the current health and accompanying food crisis by rehabilitating food production and consumption to enhance food and societal security.

The way we produce, consume and survive has been negatively impacted by unsavoury practices that privilege profit maximization at the expense of planetary health. How do we change this to create a better world for its inhabitants?
Through data collection, dissemination and, we aim to restore the current rapidly eroding ecosystem and ensure food and societal security through regeneration and conscientious harnessing of nature.

Our Research Areas

We believe that the current models of sustainability are no longer viable ways of harnessing nature. Our research focuses on regenerative models as a way of creating viable food and societal futures and include the following:

Research on increasing food yields for farmers in Asia through regenerative methods of production
Research on integrated urban farming techniques enhancing urban living in a holistic manner
Research on relationship between food security and societal security
Research on diet-related problems and solutions for the food production industry
Research on food as medicine using local knowledge and folk wisdom
Research on holistic medicine for pharmaceutical industry to treat modern illnesses
Research combining local knowledge with scientific knowledge to rehabilitate production and consumption practices
